According to market development in 2012, steel scrap prices were in decline in the best part of the year. On demand and supply, domestic steel scrap consumption in 2012 was much lower than that in 2011. Both demand and supply were in weak movement. Entering 2013, stimulating policy pushed up domestic steel demand, so steel scrap market was anticipated to perform better than 2012. Domestic prices were upward in general in Q1.
