National Aluminium and Magnesium Alloy Casting Technology Exchange Meeting was held in Yonghui International Hotel in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province on October 16, 2011. The meeting aims at extensively exchanging technology innovation in aluminium/magnesium alloy casting and cast-rolling, as well as promoting new technology and new applications.
Energy conservation and emission reduction, together with promoting a low carbon economy is one of the main tasks in economic development in our country. The output of aluminium products amounted to 20 million tons in 2010 . Casting is the primary treatment in aluminium processing which plays a significant role in qualifying . The National Aluminium and Magnesium Alloy Casting Technology Exchange Meeting in 2011 held by the light metal branch of China Non-ferrous Metal Processing Association promotes the communication and development of aluminium and magnesium alloy casting technology and strengthens the extensive exchanging of new technology and new applications.
The development and industrialization of alloy casting and cast-rolling not only provide themselves broad markets but make them become the import options for material substitution and industrial updating in related industries. The research and application of aluminium and magnesium alloy become the highlight in the industry at home and abroad and they are also the focus for industrial competition . The meeting is not only to respond to the national call for energy conservation and emission reduction, but it promotes and improves the application of aluminium and magnesium as well as enhances the overall industry.
