Shanxi Luyuan Magnesium recovers production

The magnesium project with an annual production of 5,000 tons of Shanxi Luyuan Magnesium has already recovered its production. After environmental reform, the reduction furnaces have all met energy production standard.
Officials of the company disclosed that magnesium ingot of the recovered magnesium plant finally drew a charge after refinement and the two reduction furnaces reformed had an evident effect. At present, with an annual production capacity of 2,000t, the remaining two furnaces will be reformed environmentally and time of completion is up on the air.
In addition, the phase-Ⅰproject of 100,000t of magnesium and magnesium alloy in the company is still carrying forward and new plant is expected to be put into operation by the end of this year.
Shanxi Luyuan Magnesium LLC is a joint venture invested by Pingyao Luyuan Industry Co., Ltd (now Pingyao County Maoyuan Industry Co., Ltd) and Australia-China Magnesium Corp. On March 9, Shanxi Luyuan Magnesium LLC successfully realized its foundation stone laying ceremony of 100,000t of magnesium and magnesium alloy phase-Ⅰproject. The project construction has three phases, with a total investment of RMB890 million.
