Qaidam to become production base of 11 products in “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”

Haixi national municipality of Mongol and Tibetan actively builds up emerging industrial system of salt lake chemistry, gas chemistry, non-ferrous metal and characteristic economy. There are 8 enterprises with annual production value exceeding RMB10 billion, 12 enterprises with annual production value exceeding RMB5 billion and 20 enterprises with annual production value exceeding RMB1 billion in Qaidam. And Qaidam will become the largest production base of alkali-products as well as magnesium metal and magnesium-products in China when 11 production bases would be established as scheduled, including oil and gas base, potash base, alkali industry base, magnesium base, chemical products of lithium strontium salt base, PVC base, coal and coal chemical industry base, iron and steel base, wolfberry base, potato base and new energy development base.
