BEIIJING (Asian Metal) 25 Feb 11 – According to latest report of China Iron & Steel Association (CISA) released on 24th February, domestic crude steel output reached 626
Meanwhile, statistics once showed that the domestic crude steel output rose by 25.3% over the same period of 2009 from January to April in 2010 . Therein, that reached 55 . 403 million tons in April, hitting the yearly peak point . Although the output decreased after May, it still maintained at a high level compared with the demand.
In 2010, 77 large and medium-sized enterprises recorded a profit of 89.713 billion Yuan, witnessing a year-on-year increase of 52 . 02% . However, because of the significant price increase of raw materials, the average profit ratio was only 2 . 91%, far below that of the whole industry . Therein, the price of domestic iron ore fines rose by 46 . 44% year on year and that of import iron ore increased by 45 . 21% . In addition, prices of metallurgical coke and coking coal moved up by 12 . 12% and 26 . 44% respectively compared with those of 2009.
