Jilin Magnesium Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance sets up today in Baishan, providing a tie and carrier for the magnesium industry in Jilin, which will also help the industry develop at a steady pace and sustainably.
Baishan is in the hinterland of Changbai Mountain with rich mineral resources, especially high-quality dolomite used for producing magnesium. It is reported that the prospective reserve of dolomite in Baishan is over 1.6 billion tons with proven reserve at 370 million tons, occupying 16.5% of the total reserve in China.
Initiated by FAW Casting, Jilin Magnesium Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance united with colleges and universities, research institutes and enterprises, such as Jilin University, Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Changchun Light Rail Vehicle and Linjiang Dongfeng Magnesium and is supported by Jilin Municipal Science and Technology Department.
