On August 18, Yunnan Guilv Aluminum held a commissioning ceremony for the phase II of its deep-processing project at the Funing Green Aluminum Industrial Park.
The project, with an annual capacity of 100,000 tonnes of aluminum profiles and 100,000 tonnes of aluminum alloy round billets, covers a land area of 180Mu (12 hectares) and consists of eight casting furnaces, five extrusion lines (800t, 1,100t, 1,500t, 4,000t and 6,300t), a CNC precision machining center, and a facility capable of producing 200,000m2 of aluminum formwork annually. It is currently one of Yunnan's largest aluminum deep-processing plants, with ambitions to become a leading player in Southwest China.
At the ceremony, Yunnan Guilv signed strategic cooperation agreements with ten industry-leading enterprises. These cover 73,000 tonnes of annual deep-processing business, RMB5 . 5 billion (USD766 million) per year in aluminum supply-chain contracts, and RMB4 . 5 billion (USD626 million) per year in international trade agreements.
Looking ahead, the company plans to strengthen its aluminum deep-processing operations while expanding into recycled aluminum imports, bulk trading, and logistics, aiming to accelerate the development of Southwest China's green aluminum industry.
