Huayou Cobalt sets new record with H1 revenue boost

Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co., Ltd. achieved operating revenue of RMB37.2 billion (USD5.18 million) in the first half of 2025, up by 23.8% year-on-year, setting a new record, according to the company's semi-annual report.
H1 shipments of ternary cathode materials reached 39,600 tonnes, up by 17.68% YoY, with high-nickel NCM 9-series products accounting for over 60% of the total. Exports of ternary cathode materials represented 57% of China's total ternary cathode exports during the period.
Ternary precursor shipments totaled 42,100 tonnes, slightly down from last year due to a deliberate reduction in low-margin products as part of product optimization. Cobalt product shipments amounted to 20,800 tonnes, down 9.89% YoY, while nickel product shipments surged 83.91% YoY to 139,400 tonnes.
