Shenlong New Materials to build rare earth metals and alloys project

Inner Mongolia Shenlong New Materials Co., Ltd. has received the approval from the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to build a 7,000tpa rare earth metals and alloys project at its existing plant in Kundulun Economic and Technological Development Zone.
The project will add an annual production capacity of 2,300 tonnes of praseodymium-neodymium metal, 1,700 tonnes of cerium metal, 1,300 tonnes of lanthanum metal, 1,500 tonnes of lanthanum-cerium metal and 200 tonnes of ferrogadolinium.
With a total investment of 58.63 million yuan (8.16 million US dollars), the project is expected to be completed within 24 months.
