Major Chinese steel mills' daily steel product output edges up in late Jul

Major Chinese steel mills produced around 23 million tonnes of finished steel products during the final eleven-day period of July 2025, with the daily average output at around 2,091,000 tonnes, up slightly by 0.5% from mid-July, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).
By the end of the period, major Chinese steel mills held finished steel products inventory of approximately 14.78 million tonnes, a decrease of 880,000 tonnes or 5.6% compared with mid-July.
