Shuneng Mineral secures over 2000 tonnes in LFP orders

Despite a slow market for lithium iron phosphate (LFP) in China, Sichuan Shuneng Mineral Co., Ltd. is moving quickly to grow its business and improve products. Since the commissioning of its plant in August 2024, the company has adhered to a production strategy driven by sales and achieved mass production of three LFP cathode material products.
By June 2025, Shuneng had signed contracts with two new customers, each ordering over 1,000 tonnes annually, besides its primary client. The company has delivered over 180 tons to date, with the second customer's order backlog surpassing 2,000 tonnes. Full-year deliveries are expected to exceed 2,200 tonnes.
Shuneng's LFP plant is located in Leshan, Sichuan, covers about 131.66Mu (8.78 hectares), and has a planned capacity of 50,000 tonnes per year. As a key part of the company's strategic plan, the project supports the new energy vehicle industry, helps modernize the local phosphorus chemical sector, and contributes to regional economic growth and China's carbon reduction goals.
