Dazhou Steel commissions 2Mtpa pellet production line

On June 1, Sichuan Dazhou Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Fangda Group, commissioned its first iron ore pellet production line, marking a key milestone in the construction of its new plant. The production line uses belt roasting technology and has an annual capacity of 2 million tonnes.
Construction on the project began in January 2024. The new prodution line can produce both acidic and alkaline iron ore pellets and features advanced, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly belt roasting technology. It also includes wet desulfurization and SCR denitrification systems to achieve ultra-low emissions.
As a government-supported technology in the steel industry, belt roasting is seen as the future of pellet production. With a focus on low carbon, energy savings, and clean production, this project represents a major step forward for both Fangda and the industry.
