Jin'an Mining wins exploration right for Fanqiao Iron Mine

On May 12, Anhui Jinan Mining Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nanjing Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. (NISCO), won the exploration right for the Fanqiao Iron Mine in Huoqiu County, Anhui Province, for approximately 920 million yuan (128 million US dollars). The mine is located in western region of Huoqiu County, covering an area of about 4.73 square kilometers. The exploration right is valid until February 24, 2026.
According to the evaluation report on the exploration rights of Fanqiao Iron Mine, the mine is expected to have an annual production capacity of 3.5 million tonnes of iron ore and 1.04 million tonnes of iron concentrate (Fe 66%) during normal operations.
Jin'an Mining currently operates the Caolou Mine, which spans 4.68 square kilometers and has an annual capacity of 3 million tonnes of iron ore and 1 million tonnes of iron concentrate (Fe 69%).
