Xintaiyuan to upgrade HC ferrochrome project via capacity swap

Inner Mongolia Xintaiyuan New Materials Co., Ltd. plans to build a 245,000tpa HC ferrochrome furnace upgrade project under a capacity replacement scheme, according to Ulanqab Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology.
As part of the capacity swap, the company will build two 60,000KVA submerged arc furnaces, for a total production capacity of 245,000 tonnes per annum. Construction is scheduled to begin on July 1, 2025, with production expected to commence on November 1, 2025.
