Northern Rare Earth sees higher smelting and separation output in Q1

In the first quarter of 2025, China Northern Rare Earth (Group) High-Tech Co., Ltd. recorded year-on-year growth in the production of rare earth smelting and separation products, rare earth metals, and rare earth functional materials, according to its quarterly report.
From January to March, the company produced 5,730.86t of rare earth oxides, up by 33.39%, 37,449.60t of rare earth salts, up by 1.25%, 12,061.5t of rare earth metals, up by 56.50%, 16,417.14t of magnetic materials, up by 40.88%, 5,415.15t of polishing materials, down by 9.22%, and 497.9t of hydrogen storage materials, up by 21.33%, all on a year over year basis.
Sales for the first quarter included 10,558.42t of rare earth oxides, up by 57.61%, 32,090.78t of rare earth salts, up by 52.95%, 11,329.94t of rare earth metals, up by 46.55%, 16,166.09t of magnetic materials, up by 46.63%, 5,302.16t of polishing materials, down by 8.6%, and 488.41t of hydrogen storage materials, up by 20.79%, compared with the prior year period.
