On April 15, Guangxi Guangtou Qiangqiang Carbon New Materials Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Guangxi Investment Group, held the groundbreaking ceremony for its 600,000tpa carbon-based new materials project at Jinwo Industrial Park in Qinzhou, marking a significant step forward as the project enters its construction phase.
With a planned total investment of over 1.5 billion yuan (205 million US dollars), the project will build a production line with an annual capacity of 600,000 tonnes of prebaked anode. Once completed, it will feature fully intelligent process control across all stages, from petroleum coke crushing and mixing to molding and final prebaked anode products, achieving a level of automation and smart manufacturing that ranks among the best in China. The project is expected to generate approximately 2.55 billion yuan (349 million US dollars) in annual revenue and contribute about 130 million yuan (17.79 million US dollars) in taxes, significantly boosting the high-quality development of the local upstream and downstream industrial chains.
