Major Chinese steel mills' daily steel product output up 5.3% in mid-Mar

Major Chinese steel mills produced around 21.12 million tonnes of finished steel products during the second ten-day period of March, when the daily output was 2,112,000 tonnes, up by 5.3% from early March, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).
By the end of the period, major Chinese steel mills held finished steel products inventory of around 16.91 million tonnes, an increase of 660,000 tonnes or 4.1% compared with ten days ago.
