Guanghua Sci-Tech to build lithium battery materials project

On February 27, Guangdong Guanghua Sci-Tech Co., Ltd. reached an agreement with the management committee of Dazhou High-tech Industrial Park to develop a 100,000tpa high-performance lithium battery materials project.
Under the agreement, the project will be developed in two phases. The first phase will build production lines for 50,000tpa of high-performance lithium battery materials, mainly including iron phosphate and lithium carbonate. The second phase will add another 50,000tpa of capacity for these materials. The total investment for the project is estimated at 1 billion yuan (137 million US dollars), including 500 million yuan (68.61 million US dollars) for each phase.
