JL MAG to invest in 20ktpa rare earth magnet project

JL MAG Rare-Earth Co., Ltd. announced that it plans to invest RMB10.5 billion (USD1.44 billion), through its wholly-owned subsidiary JL MAG (Baotou) Technology Co., Ltd., to build a 20,000tpa high-performance rare earth permanent magnet project, with a construction period of two years.
JL MAG has planned to build 40,000tpa of high-performance rare earth permanent magnet production capacity by 2025, and when the new project becomes operational, the company will have a total production capacity of 60,000tpa of high-performance rare earth permanent magnet.
