Xinkuang Group commissions furnace of Huoshaoyun zinc-lead smelting project

Xinjiang Geology and Mineral Investment (Group) Co., Ltd. (Xinkuang Group) has fired up the rotary furnace of its 600,000tpa Huoshaoyun zinc-lead smelting project in Hetian, Xinjiang.
With a total investment of RMB8.52 billion (USD1.16 billion), the project covers a land area of 1,600Mu (107 hectares) and is implemented by Xinjiang Kunlun Zinc Industry Co., Ltd. When completed, it will become the biggest lead-zinc oxide ore smelting project in the world, with an annual processing capacity of 2.5 million tonnes of ore and production capacities of 560,000tpa of zinc ingot and 110,000tpa of lead ingot.
