Fugu sees 47% rise in Jan-Nov magnesium production

China's Fugu county reported a total output value from industrial enterprises above designated size of RMB112.1 billion (USD15.35 billion) in the first eleven months of 2024, down by 3% from the year ago period, with the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size up by 7.4%, according to the local statistics bureau.
From January to November, Fugu produced about 90.61 million tonnes of raw coal, up by 1.5% YoY, 12.54 million tonnes of washed coal, down by 5.1% YoY, 7.89 million tonnes of semi-coke, down by 3.4% YoY, 267,000 tonnes of calcium carbide, down by 21.2% YoY, 628,800 tonnes of ferroalloys, up by 2.3% YoY, and 489,800 tonnes of magnesium metal, rising by 47% YoY.
