Derong Mining suspends production at Jinpo lead-zinc mine

Puding Derong Mining Co., Ltd. has suspended mining operation at Jinpo lead-zinc mine until the expired mining licence is renewed, as ordered by the local natural resources bureau.
The mining licence for Jinpo lead-zinc mine expired on December 25, 2024 and the company suspended production to carry out maintenance at the mine starting from December 26.
Jinpo lead-zinc mine produced 196,500 tonnes of raw ore in total as of December 25, 2024. The suspension would lead to lower output of raw ore and the supply of zinc concentrate would decrease accordingly.
