Major Chinese steel mills produced around 19.28 million tonnes of finished steel products during the first ten-day period of December 2024, when the daily output was 1,928,000 tonnes, down by 10.9% from late November, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).
By the end of the period, major Chinese steel mills held finished steel products inventory of around 14.18 million tonnes, up by 1.03 million tonnes or 7.8% from ten days ago.
