China's alumina production up 2.4% in first three quarters

In September 2024, China produced about 7.31 million tonnes of alumina, up by 3.3% YoY, 3.65 million tonnes of primary aluminum, up by 1.2% YoY, 1.44 million tonnes of aluminum alloy, up by 10.9% YoY, and 6.02 million tonnes of aluminum products, up by 7.3% YoY, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics.
In the first three quarters, China's alumina output totaled 63.13 million tonnes, up by 2.4% YoY, primary aluminum production reached 32.56 million tonnes, up by 4.6% YoY, aluminum alloy output increased by 8.4% YoY to 11.57 million tonnes, and aluminum products output increased by 8.0% YoY to 50.36 million tonnes.
