Hengyuan Techonology halts NdFeB waste recycling due to environmental violations

Ganzhou City Hengyuan Science and Techonology Co., Ltd. has been ordered by the Ganzhou Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau to suspend production due to waste water discharge in violation of regulations.
Hengyuan Techonology said in a statement that the suspension only relates to the recycling of waste NdFeB, while the production of rare earth alloys remains unaffected. Despite the expected decline in production, the company believes that there would be limited impacts on operation from the suspension as they already purchased finished products to meet demand from some clients amid the overall sluggish rare earth market since early this year.
