    1. Market Highlights

    In early August, prices decreased and kept stable as most consumers remained cautious in placing orders. Encouraged by stronger demand from downstream consumers, molybdenum concentrate and molybdenum oxide prices increased in late August.

    Following prices of molybdenum concentrate, Chinese ferromolybdenum prices reduced in early August.     Following the trend of molybdenum concentrate, downstream molybdenum chemical products and molybdenum metal prices remained stable since early August and increased in late August.

    In international molybdenum market, as sluggish demand, market prices of molybdenum products showed downtrend during the first week but then remained stable during the second week. The prices after mid-August showed a uptrend due to recovering demand from the downstream.
