Large molybdenum deposit discovered in Inner Mongolia

A large deposit with estimated reserves of 100 million tonnes of molybdenum ores has been discovered in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
During the latest round of mineral prospecting which started last May, Chifeng Gengjin Mining Co., Ltd . found this large deposit in Wengniute Banner, under the city of Chifeng . Initial proven resources were roughly 100 million tonnes of molybdenum ores, containing 130,000t of molybdenum . According to the banner's bureau of natural resources, the newly-discovered deposit also contains many other metal minerals, including silver, gold, zinc, lead and copper . The company plans to begin further mineral exploration and development at the deposit and aims to build a large nonferrous metals development and utilization base within 5 years.
