Kongtian New Materials produces first roll of HR magnesium alloy coil

Henan Kongtian New Materials Research Institute, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zhengzhou Light Alloy Institute Co., Ltd., has produced the first roll of hot-rolled magnesium alloy coil from its 20,000tpa high-performance light alloy processing pilot project.
When fully operational, the project is expected to meet the growing demand for high-quality magnesium alloy materials and promote the application of ultra-light and heat-resistant magnesium alloys in aerospace, national defense, 3C for civil use and other high-end fields.
Kongtian New Materials said it will ramp up R&D for high-end materials and expand product portfolio, including high temperature, corrosion resistant magnesium alloys and high strength aluminum alloys in strip, sheet, foil, bar, wire, rod and forge piece and other forms, which will be used for aerospace, national defense, transportation, 3C and semiconductor industries.
