Kuncai Technology plans to set up a joint venture with International Resources to exploit the resources of Mapochs mine in South Africa, the world's biggest and highest-grade vanadium mine which was acquired by International Resources in 2017.
The project is expected to achieve annual throughput of 10 million tonnes by 2025 and 60 million tonnes by 2030, with annual production of 50 million tonnes of high-grade iron ore, 5 million tonnes of high-grade titanium concentrate and 100,000 tonnes of vanadium pentoxide.
Under the agreement, Kuncai Technology will import the high-quality raw materials from ports in Zhangzhou.
