MMG reports lower H1 copper production

China's MMG produced 90,972 tonnes of copper in the second quarter of 2024, down by 2% from the prior year period while up by 36% from the previous quarter, according to its quarterly production report.
Q2 copper production includes 79,426 tonnes of copper in concentrate, down by 3% YoY while up by 38% QoQ, and 11,546 tonnes of refined copper, up by 2% YoY and 19% QoQ.
In the first half of 2024, the company produced 136,823 tonnes of copper in concentrate, a decrease of 2% from the prior year period, and 21,278 tonnes of refined copper, down by 2% versus a year ago.
