1. Market Highlights
In early June, prices remained stable as most consumers remained cautious in placing orders. Discouraged by weak demand from downstream consumers, molybdenum concentrate and molybdenum oxide prices decreased since early June.
Following prices of molybdenum concentrate, Chinese ferromolybdenum prices kept stable in early June. As most steel mills remained reluctant in purchasing, prices stayed firm since mid-June. In late June, prices decreased as lower production cost.
Following the trend of molybdenum concentrate, downstream molybdenum chemical products and molybdenum metal prices remained stable since early June and decreased in late June.
In international molybdenum market, as strong demand, market prices of molybdenum products showed uptrend during the first week but then went down due to weak demand. The prices after mid-June following the same trend of early June.
