Prices of wire rod and rebar in North China and East China saw an upward trend during the month mainly supported by the price increase in futures market, while those in South China went down on weak demand. In addition, Chinese export prices of wire rod and rebar rose slightly during the month because of the price increase in domestic market.
In the international market, prices of wire rod and rebar in Thailand, Malaysia, India and Vietnam went up during the month mainly supported by high prices of steel mills and raw materials.
