Wolong kicks off construction of permanent magnet motor project in Baotou

On May 20, Wolong Holding Group broke ground on the permanent magnet motor industrial park project at Baotou Rare Earth High-tech Zone. As a key project invested by Wolong Group, it will be able to produce 52,000 units of NEV motor, 32,000 units of low-speed high-power permanent magnet motor, 1,300 units of wind-driven generator, 20,000t of castings annually and build a 100MWh energy storage system.
The project is expected to boost the construction of a complete industrial chain in Baotou integrating upstream rare earth magnetic materials, permanent magnet components and downstream application scenarios, and advance the development of an industrial cluster for permanent magnet motor, paving the way for the establishment of two rare earth industrial bases in Baotou.
