Zhongtian Chemical to resume aluminum fluoride production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 29 Apr 24 - Gansu Baiyin Zhongtian Chemical Co., a major aluminum fluoride producer in northwest China, plans to restart production on May 6 and would produce over 4,000t in May, a source from the company reports to Asian Metal.
"We would restart production on May 6 and might produce over 4,000t next month," says the source, who remains out of production in April for equipment maintenance and would not release production this month, with present stocks around 4,000t.
With three production lines and the total production capacity of 80,000tpy, they produced around 15,000t in the Q1 this year and around 60,000t in total last year.
Current mainstream prices for aluminum fluoride 61%min in northwest China keep at RMB10,100-10,300/t (USD1,394-1,421/t) delivered, up by RMB350/t (USD48/t) from late last week, supported by the increased fluorspar price. Producers remain confident in the price.
