SPIC Zunyi breaks ground on bauxite residues recycling project

On April 18, SPIC Guizhou Zunyi Industrial Development Co., Ltd. kicked off construction of a bauxite residues comprehensive utilization project with an annual processing capacity of 600,000 tonnes of the red mud.
With a total investment of around RMB180 million (USD24.84 million), the project is expected to generate an annual production value of nearly RMB300 million (USD41.40 million). Construction of the project includes two phases, and when fully completed, it would help create more than 150 jobs. The project can not only provide SPIC Zunyi with high-quality raw material for alumina production but also effectively solve the residue storage problem.
