BEIJING (Asian Metal) 25 Apr 24 - Chinese cerium oxide 99.9%min suppliers preferred to hold stocks rather than mark down prices over the past week. Therefore, the current Chinese cerium oxide 99.9%min mainstream prices hover at RMB7,300-7,600/t (USD1,007-1,049/t) EXW D/P, in line with one week ago. Consumers still have no intention to purchase in bulk. Given that suppliers still refuse to lower prices, insiders predict that the Chinese cerium oxide 99.9%min mainstream prices would keep standing at current levels in the coming week.
A trader in Sichuan province discloses that they hold cerium oxide 99.9%min quotation firm at about RMB7,500/t (USD1,035/t) EXW D/P for cerium oxide 99.9%min and refuse to sell at prices below RMB7,400/t (USD1,021/t) now, without much change from one week ago. "I last sold 60t at around RMB7,400/t (USD1,021/t) early this week," said the trader, who complains about low profits and prefers to hold inventory rather than mark down prices. "I sent an inquiry of 60t of cerium oxide 99.9%min this Monday and got quotation of around RMB7,500/t (USD/t). According to my experience, I could buy at around RMB7,400/t (USD1,021/t).
