Fujian Jindong resumes zinc and lead concentrate production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 24 Apr 24 - Fujian Jindong Mining Co., a major zinc and lead concentrate producer in Fujian, resumed zinc and lead concentrate production early in April. They would produce about 500 metal tons of zinc concentrate and 200 metal tons of lead concentrate respectively in April.
"We resumed production of zinc concentrate 48%min and lead concentrate 52%min early in April", a source from the company disclosed. They would produce about 500 metal tons of zinc concentrate and 200 metal tons of lead concentrate respectively in April. They mainly sell zinc concentrate to East China.
Based on an annual production capacity of 25,000 metal tons of zinc concentrate and 12,000 metal tons of lead concentrate, the company plans to produce about 500 metal tons of zinc concentrate and 200 metal tons of lead concentrate respectively in April. They produced about 5,500 metal tons of zinc concentrate and almost 2,400 metal tons of lead concentrate respectively in 2023. They hold no inventory at the moment.
The current mainstream TCs for Chinese zinc concentrate 50%min stand at RMB3,300-3,500/metal ton (USD455-482/metal ton) delivered D/P, stable from early last week. Most sellers have intention to decrease TCs for zinc concentrate due to tight supply. Insiders predict that the mainstream TCs for Chinese zinc concentrate would edge down in the coming week.
