Zhongtian Chemical starts aluminum fluoride equipment maintenance

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 17 Apr 24 - Gansu Baiyin Zhongtian Chemical Co., a major aluminum fluoride producer in northwest China, started equipment maintenance from early April and would not release production in April, a source from the company reports to Asian Metal.
"We suspended production for equipment maintenance in early April and might resume production in early May," says the source, who might produce around 6,000t in May and holds no stock now.
With three production lines and the total production capacity of 80,000tpy, they produced around 15,000t so far this year and around 60,000t in total last year.
Present mainstream prices for aluminum fluoride 61%min in northwest China stand at RMB9,950-10,200/t (USD1,374-1,409/t) delivered, stable from late last week. Due to the increased fluorspar prices, aluminum fluoride producers maintain firm prices now.
