Chinese cerium oxide prices keep stable

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 16 Apr 24 - Due to the relatively stable trading activities in the market, mainstream prices for Chinese cerium oxide 99.9%min stood at RMB7,300-7,600/t (USD1,008-1,050/t) Inc-VAT EXW D/P today. In view of the high production cost, insiders predicted that prices for Chinese cerium oxide would hover at the current level in the following days.
A producer in Sichuan revealed that they offered RMB7,700/t (USD1,064/t) Inc-VAT EXW D/P for cerium oxide 99.9%min today and could sell the material at prices no lower than RMB7,500/t (USD1,036/t). "I last sold 32t at RMB7,500/t (USD1,036/t) D/P last Friday," the source said, reckoning that prices for Chinese cerium oxide would keep relatively stable in the coming days.
With an annual production capacity of 11,000t of cerium oxide 99.9%min, the producer produced about 900t last month and expects to produce the same volume this month.
A producer in Shandong indicated that he offered RMB7,300/t (USD1,009/t) Inc-VAT EXW D/P for cerium oxide 99.9%min today and would not sell the material at lower prices. "Last Friday, I sold about 30t of cerium oxide 99.9%min at RMB7,300/t (USD1,009/t) D/P," the source said, adding that the current supply and demand keep relatively stable, and he believes that the price of cerium oxide would continue to stabilize at the current level for a period of time in the near future.
With an annual production capacity of 10,800t of cerium oxide 99.9%min, the producer expects to produce about 300t this month, unchanged from last month.
A producer in Sichuan revealed that they offered RMB7,700/t (USD1,064/t) Inc-VAT EXW D/P for cerium oxide 99.9%min today and could sell the material at prices no lower than RMB7,500/t (USD1,036/t). "I last sold 32t at RMB7,500/t (USD1,036/t) D/P last Friday," the source said, reckoning that prices for Chinese cerium oxide would keep relatively stable in the coming days.
