Wanyang reduces bismuth ingot output

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 12 Apr 24 - One of major bismuth ingot 99.99%min producers in Henan, China, Jiyuan Wanyang Smelting Group reduces bismuth ingot 99.99%min output to around 70t in April, down by about 70t MoM, a source from the company disclosed to Asian Metal.
The source said, "Due to the equipment maintenance since early this month, we predict to reduce bismuth ingot 99.99%min output in April by around 50% from last month. We would produce about 150t in June to reach the normal monthly output level". They hold around 200t of bismuth ingot 99.9%min at present and stay in no hurry to sell.
The producer, based on a production capacity of 3,600tpy of bismuth ingot 99.99%min, produced about 150t in March. They hold 200t of stock now, without much change from the end of last month. They produced about 1,800t in 2023 and around 450t so far in 2024.
Currently, Chinese bismuth ingot 99.99%min mainstream prices hover at RMB56,500-57,500/t (USD3.54-3.60/lb) EXW D/P, without much change from early last week. Given that most consumers hold back from purchasing with watchful attitudes, insiders predict that the mainstream prices of Chinese bismuth ingot 99.99%min would hover at the current level in the following week.
