BEIJING (Asian Metal) 12 Apr 24 - Most Chinese bismuth ingot 99.99%min downstream stood on sidelines towards the current high prices, while producers keep their prices steady with limited stocks. Currently, Chinese bismuth ingot 99.99%min mainstream prices hover at RMB56,500-57,500/t (USD3.54-3.60/lb) EXW D/P, in line with early this week. Given that most suppliers intended to hold the prices firm supported by limited stocks while consumers hold back from purchasing, insiders predicted that the mainstream prices of Chinese bismuth ingot 99.99%min would remain unmoved in the upcoming week.
A producer in Henan discloses that they consider selling bismuth ingot 99.99%min at the price as low as RMB57,500/t (USD3.60/lb) EXW D/P presently, in line with early this week. "We last sold 33t at RMB55,500/t (USD3.48/lb) late last month and then stay in no hurry to sell despite that the downstream began to hold back from placing orders", said the producer. Given that they, like other producers, hold limited stocks now and have no intention to lower prices, they predicted that the mainstream prices of Chinese bismuth ingot 99.99%min would hover at the current level in the upcoming week.
The producer, based on a production capacity of 3,600tpy of bismuth ingot 99.99%min, expected to produce almost 150t this month and produced about 150t in March. They hold around 200t of stocks now, in line with the end of last month.
A trader mentions that they consider selling bismuth ingot 99.99%min at the price as low as RMB57,000/t (USD3.57/lb) EXW D/P presently, without much change from early this week. They last sold almost 33t at RMB56,000/t (USD3.51/lb) late last month. The trader said, "We failed to conclude any deal this week as most clients stay in no hurry to purchase at the current prices, while we have no intention to lower prices supported by firm prices from producers". Therefore, they believe that the mainstream prices of Chinese bismuth ingot 99.99%min would hover at the current level in the upcoming week.
