BEIJING (Asian Metal) 11 Apr 24 - The Chinese copper concentrate market continues to see the increase of prices at present supported by tight supply in the international market. Mainstream prices of Chinese copper concentrate stand at RMB70,000-70,200/metal ton (USD9,675-9,702/metal ton) currently
A Xinjiang-based producer said, "We sold about 30 metal tons of copper concentrate at about RMB69,700/metal ton (USD9,633/metal ton) today with a pricing coefficient of 89%, the same as yesterday when we sold 30 metal tons of the material at RMB69,200/metal ton (USD9,564/metal ton)." According to the producer, the current copper concentrate market sees sufficient deals, but the export business to Central Asia might be restricted, so they might further raise their pricing coefficient . Their copper concentrate contains 18-20% of copper and 40g of silver with a copper-sulfur proportion of 1:1 . 3.
With an annual production capacity of 12,000 metal tons, the producer produced around 1,000 metal tons in March, expecting to keep the output unchanged MoM in April.
"We sold 100 metal tons of copper concentrate at around RMB71,000/metal ton (USD9,813/meta ton) with the pricing coefficient of 92.5%, unchanged from yesterday when we sold 100 metal tons of the material at RMB70,700/metal ton (USD9,772/metal ton) . We have raised the pricing coefficient for orders of this month to 94 . 5%," a producer in Guangdong disclosed, adding that they have no stocks now and their copper concentrate contains 17%min of copper.
With an annual production capacity of 15,000 metal tons, the producer had an output of about 1,000 metal tons in March owing to equipment maintenance, and resumes full production in April, when the output is expected to be 1,200 metal tons or so.
