BEIJING (Asian Metal) 11 Apr 24 - Following with increasing PrNd mischmetal prices, Chinese rough sintered NdFeB magnet N52 (block) suppliers lifted prices over the past week. As a consequence, the current Chinese rough sintered NdFeB magnet N52 (block) mainstream prices rise to RMB161-166/kg (USD22.3-22.9/kg) EXW T/T 60 days, up by around RMB4/kg (USD0.3/kg) from one week ago. Given the stabilization of Chinese PrNd mischmetal prices, insiders forecasted that the Chinese rough sintered NdFeB magnet N52 (block) mainstream prices would hover at current levels in the coming week.
A producer in South China notes that he increases rough sintered NdFeB magnet N52 (block) quotation to about RMB168/kg (USD23.2/kg) EXW T/T 60 days and has intention to sell at around RMB165/kg (USD22.8/kg), while he has intention to sell at prices not lower than RMB160/kg (USD22.1/kg) one week ago. "I concluded purchase PrNd mischmetal at prices lower than RMB465,000/t (USD64,278/t) EXW T/T 30 days now, while I could buy at about RMB430,000/t (USD59,440/t) one week ago, so I lifted rough sintered NdFeB magnet N52 (block) prices over the past week," said the producer. He concluded his latest sale early last week, when he sold two tons at about RMB160/kg (USD22.1/kg). He failed to receive any inquiries so far this week but usually got 3-4 inquiries every week. Given that PrNd mischmetal prices show potential steady trend, he predicts that the Chinese rough sintered NdFeB magnet N52 (block) market would see stable prices in the coming week.
The producer, on basis of an annual production capacity of 180t of rough sintered NdFeB magnet N52 (block), produced about 25t so far this year, compared with approximately 43t last year. He expects an output of around eight tons this month, down by four tons MoM. He doesn't have stock now, unchanged MoM.
A consumer in Guangdong province claims that his regular rough sintered NdFeB magnet N52 (block) suppliers quote about RMB165/kg (USD22.8/kg) EXW T/T 60 days for him at present. Based on his experience, he could buy at around RMB162/kg (USD22.4/kg) now, while he could replenish stocks at around RMB158/kg (USD21.8/kg) one week ago. He last bough 17 tons at around RMB158/kg (USD21.8/kg) in late March. "I have no intention to purchase again in the coming week," said the consumer, who couldn't bargain for cheaper prices from suppliers and predicts that the Chinese rough sintered NdFeB magnet N52 (block) mainstream prices would hover at current levels in the coming week.
