Shanxing Industrial to finish building an aluminum fluoride project

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 2 Apr 24 - Zhongse Dongfang Shaoxing Industrial Co., a major aluminum fluoride producer in China, plans to finish the construction of a new project with the production capacity of 40,000tpy in the middle of this year, a source from the company reported to Asian Metal.
"We are going to finish building the construction of a new project with the production capacity of 40,000tpy by the middle of this year," said the source, adding that the project might launch production in late June. The construction started in early 2023 with the budget of around RMB100 (USD14) million.
With present two production lines and the total production capacity of 70,000tpy, they produced around 4,400t in March and target around 5,000t in April with no stock now. They produced around 50,000t in 2023 and around 9,000t so far this year.
Current mainstream prices for aluminum fluoride 61%min in north China keep at RMB9,500-9,800/t (USD1,314-1,355/t) delivered, up by RMB150/t (USD21/t) from early this week, supported by the increased fluorspar price and reduced inventories.
