BEIJING (Asian Metal) 2 Apr 24 - Although the market demand stays in low position, given the high electricity costs, most producers keep prices unmoved this week

We planned to lift prices based on the firm production costs, but buyers refused to accept due to the dim end market." They last sold about 100t late last week to a local processor at RMB6,100/t (USD848/t) . Despite the high production costs, they plan to hold prices unchanged to maintain sales and predict that the mainstream prices of Chinese black silicon carbide would keep steady in the coming week.
With an annual production capacity of 30,000t, the producer expects to produce around 2,500t in April, in line with last month. They hold about 1,000t in stock at present.
