Arab to increase zinc and lead concentrate production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 29 Mar 24 – Arab Co, a major zinc and lead concentrate producer in Mexico, would increase the output of zinc and lead concentrate to about 2,500t and 1,800t respectively in April.
"We would increase the output of zinc concentrate 50%min and lead concentrate 55%min to about 2,500t and 1,800t respectively in April", a source from the company disclosed, adding that they opened another new mine in March.
The company, with a monthly processing capacity of 5,000t its own dressing plant, would produce about 2,000t of zinc concentrate and 1,000t of lead concentrate in March.
Most suppliers from overseas insist on low level TCs of zinc and lead concentrate supported by tight supply. The current mainstream TCs for import zinc concentrate 50%min and lead concentrate 60%min stand at USD70-80/dt CIF China and USD30-40/dt CIF China respectively, both stable from late last month. Insiders predict that the mainstream TCs for import zinc and lead concentrate would keep stable in the week to come.
