Guizhou Wanshan Yinhe decreases consumption volume of mercury metal

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 29 Mar 24 - Guizhou Wanshan Yinhe Chemical Co., Ltd, a major consumer of mercury metal 99.9%min in China, decreases their consumption volume in March, a source from the company disclosed to Asian Metal.
"As most of our consumers finished restocking, we received less orders from downstream market in March. As a result, our consumption volume of mercury metal 99.9%min decreased to about 5t in March", said the source.
With an annual consumption capacity of 280t, they estimate to consume about 5t in March, down by about 10t MoM. Holding no stock, they consumed about 117t in 2023 and expect to consume less in 2024.
Today, the mainstream prices of Chinese mercury metal 99.9%min hover at RMB1,030-1,045/kg (USD142.5-144.5/kg) Ex-VAT EXW D/P, without much change from late last week. Given that most of the suppliers plan to hold their prices stable, insiders predict that the prevailing prices of Chinese mercury metal would stand at the present level in the coming week.
