Linzhou Lingang restarts iron production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 20 Mar 24 - Linzhou Lingang Cast Pipe Technology Co. (Linzhou Lingang), one of the major iron producers in Henan, restarted the production at the beginning of this month with a daily output of about 2,000t.
"We resumed the production early this month after the suspension last October," said a source of the company, adding that they would produce about 60,000t in March. According to him, they have zero stock in hand for the time being, the same as last month.
Based on the annual production capacity of about 750,000t of iron, Linzhou Lingang produced around 450,000t in 2023 and did not produce any materials in the first two months this year.
The mainstream prices of S.G. cast iron Q10 stand at about RMB3,250-3,300/t (USD451-458/t) Inc-VAT EXW D/P in Anyang at present, down by RMB50/t (USD7/t) from last week. Insiders expect Chinese S.G. cast iron prices to go down further in the coming week on weak demand and decreased raw material prices.
