TCs for Chinese lead concentrate flat

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 18 Mar 24 – The supply of lead concentrate in Chinese market maintains tight at the moment. The mainstream TCs for lead concentrate 50%min stand at RMB600-800/metal ton (USD83-111/metal ton) Delivered D/P, stable from early this month. Considering that most buyers refuse lower TCs due to thin profits, insiders predict that the mainstream TCs for Chinese lead concentrate would keep flat in the coming two weeks.
A consumer in Inner Mongolia noted that they purchased about 500 metal tons of lead concentrate 50%min with TC at RMB800/metal ton (USD111/metal ton) delivered D/P today, while they purchased about 350 metal tons with the same TC yesterday. "Our output of lead ingot would decrease by about 500t in March from last month due to the decreased content of lead concentrate", said the consumer, adding that the supply of lead concentrate keeps tight at the moment. They predict that the mainstream TCs for Chinese lead concentrate would keep flat in the coming two weeks.
The consumer, with an annual consumption capacity of 120,000 metal tons of lead concentrate, would consume about 8,500 metal tons in March, down by about 500 metal tons from last month. They hold about 10,000 metal tons of stocks at the moment.
"We purchased about 2,000 metal tons of lead concentrate 50%min with TC at RMB600/metal ton (USD83/metal ton) delivered D/P late this week and purchased about 3,000 metal tons with the same TC late last week", another consumer in Hunan noted, adding that the supply of lead concentrate remains tight presently, but they could not accept lower TCs. They predict that the mainstream TCs for lead concentrate would keep unchanged in the coming two weeks.
