Hetai Technology resumes aluminum fluoride production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 15 Mar 24 - Guangxi Pingguo Hetai Technology Co., the only aluminum fluoride producer in Guangxi, China, resumed production early this month and might produce 2,500t this month, a source from the company reported to Asian Metal.
"We restarted production early this month and would produce around 2,500t this month," said the source, who shut down in early February due to the sluggish market and holds no stock now.
With two production lines and the total production capacity of 60,000tpy, they produced around 25,000t in 2023 and over 3,000t so far this year.
Present mainstream prices for aluminum fluoride 61%min in China remain at RMB8,750-8,950/t (USD1,217-1,245/t) EXW, up by RMB50/t (USD7/t) from early this week. As fluorspar prices moved up and the supply keeps tight, aluminum fluoride prices in China went up.
